Age Defying Tricks
Have you felt a little down lately? Or perhaps the face looking back from the mirror looks a little haggard? Here are a few tips to help perk you up, both physically and mentally. It’s no secret that when you look better you feel better and vise versa. But, you don’t have to be feeling blue to benefit from these tips for quick and easy improvements.
Posture
Sit up straight. People with poor posture are easily misjudged as being older than they really are. Avoid slouching, rounding shoulders and down turned head. You will look better and feel better. Proper posture prevents muscle and joint pain, therefore eliminating the cause of many headaches. Take a moment to stretch every hour or so when you are seated for long periods of time. Try this: keep both feet flat on the floor with your shoulders and chin relaxed, hands on your thighs. Slowly draw your shoulders back and squeeze you shoulder blades together for a count of 5, then relax. Repeat 3 or 4 times. Who knows, you may feel so much better you embark on a new exercise regime such as yoga.
Have Sex more often
A Scottish study lasting a span of 10 years concluded that couples in their mid-40’s who engage in sex at least 3 times a week look 12 years younger. The faces of the sexually active couples had less wrinkles and their skin was more supple. Oxytocin gets the credit. It is a stress reducing chemical that is released during sex. Nighttime sex can also help you sleep more soundly.
What do Eyebrows Have to do With It?
Your facial features seem to disappear when your eyebrows are thin and light. Fill in sparse spots in your brows with a darker brow shadow. Apply the shadow with a washed and dried mascara brush, followed by blending with the tip of your finger. Avoid increasing the arch of your brow past its normal lift, otherwise you will look angry. Just follow the natural contour of you eyebrow.
Consider Highlights
Gettting rid of gray hair is an obvious way of making yourself look younger. While you are at it, consider getting highlights a couple of shades lighter, which frames your face. As an added benefit, the various color tones will spark up dullness in your skin.
Buy a New Bra
At the first signs of sagging, buy a new bra that offer some light padding and underwire. Your bra should fit well and be comfortable, bringing your breasts back up midway between your shoulder and your elbow.

A good fitting bra with the straps adjusted correctly not only makes you look younger, it can also save you from neck, shoulder and back pain.
Treat Yourself to a Manicure
Wearing nail polish or rings can distract people from noticing signs of aging like age spots and veins. Researchers ask people to estimate women’s ages based only on photos of their hands. 49% thought the women looked younger who were wearing nail polish, 52% felt the same about jewelry.
Stop Smoking
Smoking makes you look and feel older than you really are. A smoking woman’s life is shortened by as many as 14 years. Smoking induces excessive wrinkling around the mouth and eyes and dulls the complexion. It’s never too late to quit no matter how long you’ve been smoking. Your skin may be able to repair itself somewhat from the damage. Skin tone and radiance can return, but losing the wrinkles around the mouth and eyes won’t go away by itself.
Brighten You Teeth
A bright smile gives the impression of good health and youth. For a quick anti-aging beauty tip cut back on teeth staining habits like drinking coffee, red wine, and smoking.
